The Barrel Dogs are at Mikey's on 12th in Calgary on the 29th for an evening of classic covers and near classic originals. Come on out and blow some carbon out of the old engine 'cause it's a long winter and spring is waiting just around the corner.
The Barrel Dogs play rough, roots-inspired music. These five dogs, veterans of a multitude of hardworking bands, came together about two years ago to play the music they love the best. With three singer-songwriters in the group, they play a wide range of originals mixed in, of course, with everything from Joe Cocker to Blue Rodeo. The Barrel Dogs light up the stage with three part harmonies that growl and howl at the moon.
