Calgary's awesome new music venue Mikey's on 12th presents the launch party for the second Mike MacKenzie album "Solstice." A full evening of music, MMB will play 3 sets including one set of all new material from the album. The band features some of the city's finest players including Steve Fletcher (keys), Kurtis Downs (guitar), Tom Hart (bass) and James Wise (drums). 

A year in the making, Solstice picks up where Mike's debut (Natural Causes) left off and improves in all areas from writing to production to cohesiveness. Like the first outing, it is an eclectic listening adventure through many breeds of rock played by top caliber musicians. Solstice features 10 new hard-hitting, dynamic tracks of original music clocking in at just under an hour and is sure to have something for all fans of rock, blues, progressive and beyond.
